JLD Rally 2011

Tuesday, September 20th, 2011

Short Rally Linter

Monday, May 16th, 2011

Rally Wallonie

Monday, May 16th, 2011

Beide goed gereden zonder problemen.

TAC Rally

Monday, May 16th, 2011

Rally Haspengouw

Monday, May 16th, 2011

Short Rally Sint Truiden

Sunday, November 21st, 2010

CAUTION! SLIPPERY WHEN WET!
Last rally of the 2010 season.
The white M3 stayed home due to motorproblems from the previous rally. Geert and Steven had to do the job while Tom was promoted to “catering manager”.

The rain from the previous weekend made the course very slippery at some places so it was fun for the drivers and certainly for the spectators.

Steven and copilote Ellen were out first in the Historic class (finally a rally where “real” cars can start before the “normal” bunch : ) ). The MGbV8 was on a new suspension after the rearspring damage last rally. The yellow MG behaved as a completely new car so Steven started safely. (The aim of this rally was to test the suspension and prepare for next season).

Geert also started slowly, due to the extremely slippery roads and a flat just before S2. This slow start and the flat costed us 1minute!.He finally found trust in the car and David who acted as interim-copilot. And improved his times on each round: with about 2-3 sec a km faster in the 2ndrd round, gaining another 1-2 secs on the 3rd, we can officially speak of a slow start..Working point there!

On the most slippery corner of this rally, a left 2, Steven decided to do a 180 degree turn (maybe wrong notes from Ellen? J ) and had to drive 500 meter backwards to get turned again. When looking at the tire-tracks in the field at the right side, at least 50 percent of the drivers decided to give “some kind of a show” in this corner (voluntary or not…).

Geert managed to make good use of the handbrake, wich must have pleased the photographers.

Stage after stage the track became dryer and faster and. Steven got more comfortable in the “new” MG and at least times improved a lot at the end. Geert made one last good stage and both cars finished without any damage.

So it seems that 2 out of the 3 cars are already ready for the 2011 season. Anyway the winterstop will still include a lot of maintenance and adaption works at the cars.
You will find out soon ……………..

East Belgian Rally (Criterium) in Sankt-Vith

Saturday, October 9th, 2010

After all the adventures with the engine between Famenne and now, Toms engine broke down on ES1…Geert and Jimmy did well and after a traditional slow start finish 18th!
This made them this years champion BK Criterium in RE12! Steven and Ellen finish 26 with som “English” problems on the suspension.

Rally de la Famenne in Marche-en-Famenne.

Sunday, August 22nd, 2010

No luck for us! Geert with co Marc Cuypers missed a braking zone and  ended in a litlle (dry) stream on a T- right in ES2. Tom/David were a bit overambitious on the second tour in the rounds on ES5, … sortie and exit. To make the picture complete Steven and Ellen on the MG broke all records: 300m after the podium, massive oil leak, exit. Up to next race!

RS Suikerstreek in Tienen-Hoegaarden

Sunday, July 4th, 2010

Rallysprint in our hometown. Fast rally, 60 cars at the start. Tom-David finished 13th overall winning their class (#31 – white M3). Steven/Ellen (MGB V8) finished 41 on the maiden rally of the car. Geert/Jimmy had to abandon in SS09 due to a steering fault. They where in 21th position and amied for 17th….

Criterium Rally de Wallonie in Namur

Saturday, April 24th, 2010

Starting with the show SS on the Citadelle on Friday, on Saturday a beautiful rally over 3 x 4 very fast but tricky stages with 65 starters.
The Rally was marked by some serious crashes
Tom-David did really well (17th overall) until they had fuel problems in SS9 Crupet. They managed to rpair and with a 3 minute penalty remained 18th.
But…same problem at exactly the same spot in the final stage….
Geert-Jimmy, slow starters as usual, 26th after SS9, finished 21 after SS12, despite a third round with only half the lights on.
Finally, the yellow mini finished 35th in a race where it is heavily penalised by its relatively poor top speed. But look at that jump….

Also a big cheer to Matthias Boon for his stunning result (3th overall) in the Rally: look who’s behind!!!

Rally de Hannut in Hannut

Sunday, March 14th, 2010

2 x 6 ss…and lots of bad luck: Tom-David abandoned after SS1 with a fuel line rupture, probably caused by something hidden in the dirt section.
Geert-Jimmy had a flat in SS1 and had to abandon in SS2 with a broken lever on the gear box (and no it was not the same part as Tom in Haspengouw).
Luckily we still hed the brave yellow Mini-Monster, who finished in Prov’Historic despite some fuel problems…
A special thanks to Julle who did his best to get our blitz-performance on camera!

Criterium Rally van Haspengouw in Landen.

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

Due to local regulations this race had to switch dates an became opener of the season.
During winter, the Black M3 got a complete overhaul, including reinforcements ot the roll cage and new electricity.
Tom-David did very well, but abandoned on SS6 with….a broken shift lever! they were in 13th place at that moment.
Geert-Jimmy on the Grey finished 21 on 45 after a slow start.
The Mini, due to problems with the cars registration, ran as R00 out of competition.

BS des Crêtes in Malmedy.

Sunday, November 22nd, 2009

2 SS, 4 runs. 120 cars at the start on a trail not very suitable for rear wheel driven cars. Very slippery,
the race is dominated by front wheel and four wheel driven cars. We are here to learn, yet Tom-David finish 43, Geert-Jimmy finish place 81.
Steven participated in the historics and straigt away he won his class! cheers for the yellow monster!

Criterium Rally van Haspengouw in Landen.

Sunday, October 4th, 2009

Black (Tom-David, nr. 123) and Grey  (Geert-Jimmy, nr. 127).
Steven started in regularity with the Mini, Ellen ws in the co-seat.
British technology let him down on sunday when the diff gave up.
On Saturday Show Stage on Brustem Airbase, dry weather.
At night showers transformed the stages…wet start.
Tom was 13th during the whole race, when on SS9 he lost 1’30” somewhere in the woods of Walshoutem. Finally he finished 20.
Geert started very slow in SS3 on sunday morning, but gradually improved. After round 1 on Sunday in 34th place, he climbed 8 places to finish 26 overall.
Thanks again to the team for the support!

CRITERIUM J-L DUMONT in Waremme

Sunday, September 20th, 2009

Approx 150 cars took the Start, Tom and Kurt finished top 20!

Short Rally van de Suikerstreek

Sunday, July 5th, 2009

GT-Motorsports started with two teams: Tom and David, Geert and Jimmy. Both finished!

Rally Hannuit

Sunday, March 1st, 2009

GT-Motorsports had 2 teams that aimed for the start: Geert & Jimmy in the grey E30 M3, Tom and Kurt in the black one. Unfortunately the grey team couldn’t take the start due to electrical problems. The black team managed to finish their first rally on a very slippery and tricky course as number 38 in their division, around 106th place general. An honourable result for a starting field op 230 competitors. Whats more: no damage to the car!

Rally Sint Truiden

Sunday, November 30th, 2008

Debut in rally. A nice demonstration of JIT by Marc B. who prepared the car (many thanks for that !!). Geert drove with Marc C. as co pilot. Unfortunately conditions where extremely slippery and we already went out in SS1…500 m before the finish. 7 competitors did the same, only 25 of 55 competitors finished. Next time better: Hannut in March.

Rally van Haspengouw

Sunday, October 5th, 2008

Driving SC1 with the M6. Very wet conditions.
Thanks to Julle for the pictures!

Short Rally Tienen

Monday, July 7th, 2008

We had the oportunity to get a first maiden impression of rally driving. Our car was SC1. Our dear Marc B. surprised us with a very professional co-driver Erwin Mombaerts, who kept us on the road during this experience. Tastes like more…
Some impressions:
